Most people would not even begin to attempt such a physical and mental journey but Emma was not to be defeated! After suffering from epilepsy and fibromyalgia, Emma decided to undergo brain surgery to see if she could improve her seizures. Post-surgery, but now suffering from blood clots in her lungs Emma weighed 19 stone and decided it was now time to tackle her weight.
Despite her health challenges Emma stuck to her diet supported by Alex, she explains how it was not an easy journey for her.
" Emma lives in a town about 8 miles from my shop which is in another town. She doesn’t drive. So every week without fail she has to drive a mobility scooter to a bus stop which takes about 20 mins. she then must catch a bus that takes about 35 mins to get to Newton Abbot where my shop is and then she walks from the bus stop to the shop with a walking stick to support her. It doesn’t matter if it’s raining, snowing or 30 degrees. Nothing stops her. And then she does the journey in reverse. if that isn’t dedication then I don’t know what is!"
Emma's results have been amazing. She has gone from 19 stone to 13.9lbs. Her determination to be at a smaller size and get her body into better health has been driven by her goal to have children in the future.
"I love life in general now after losing so much weight in a small amount of time. I would never have believed it if you had said to me two years ago I could lose so much weight. I would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to lose weight not to put it off and speak to Alex."
